Rusoro Mining Ltd. is a Vancouver-based company that formerly operated gold mines in Venezuela, including the Choco 10 and Isidora mines, until their expropriation by the Venezuelan government in 2011–2012. An international arbitration tribunal ordered Venezuela to pay compensation of approximately US$968 million plus interest, and Rusoro has joined a consortium with Gold Reserve Ltd. and Koch Minerals to pursue recovery of this award through commercial channels.
