Refund Policy
© 2026 InvestJournal · Version 2026-0930 days, money back. No questions asked.
If Pro is not what you expected, ask for a refund within 30 days of a payment and we will return it in full. You do not have to give a reason. This applies to your first payment and to every renewal after it.
Subscribing
InvestJournal Pro is a monthly subscription, billed in advance, that renews until you cancel it. There is no minimum term, no setup fee and no cancellation fee. The free app stays free — Pro adds to it rather than replacing it.
Why there is no free trial instead
There is no trial, and this window is the reason. The free app is the trial — the parts of Pro you can try are free forever, just smaller — and the 30 days let you use the paid features for real, with your money back if they are not for you.
After the 30 days
Once the 30-day window on a payment has passed, that payment is not refunded. You can still cancel at any time: cancelling stops the next payment rather than refunding the current one, and Pro keeps working until the end of the period you have already paid for. We do not refund partial months.
Cancelling
You can cancel from your account at any time. There is no email to send, no form to fill in, and nobody will try to talk you out of it. Your subscription runs to the end of the period you have paid for and then stops renewing.
When a payment is refunded
A payment refunded in full ends Pro straight away, rather than at the end of the period. The refund gives you the whole period back, so the access that came with it ends too. Nothing is deleted: your extra portfolios become read-only, as described below, and you can subscribe again whenever you like. A partial refund leaves your plan exactly as it is.
What happens to your data
Nothing is deleted. Your extra portfolios become read-only — every holding, transaction and note stays in your account, and it all works again the moment you come back.
Payments taken in error
A duplicate charge, or a renewal taken after you cancelled, is refunded in full whenever you tell us about it. The 30-day window does not apply to a payment that should never have been taken.
How to ask for a refund
Contact us through the InvestJournal application, or reply to the receipt for the payment you are asking about. Tell us which payment it is — we do not need a reason.
Your statutory rights
Nothing in this policy limits any right you have under the Consumer Protection Act (Québec), the Civil Code of Québec, or other applicable law. Where those rights give you more than this policy does, they apply.
