CarMax, Inc. is the largest used vehicle retailer in the United States, operating a chain of retail stores and offering a transparent, no-haggle buying and selling experience for pre-owned automobiles. The company also provides vehicle financing through its subsidiary CarMax Auto Finance and offers extended service plans and related products. CarMax became an independent public company in 2002 following its separation from Circuit City Stores.
