Founded in 2016, Alpha Tau is an Israeli oncology therapeutics company focused on research, development, and potential commercialization of Alpha DaRT for the treatment of solid tumors. Alpha DaRT (Diffusing Alpha-emitters Radiation Therapy) delivers highly potent, conformal alpha-irradiation via intratumoral radium-224 impregnated sources, aiming to destroy tumors while sparing healthy tissue. The technology was initially developed by Prof. Itzhak Kelson and Prof. Yona Keisari of Tel Aviv University.
